Meridian Health & Social Care and Your Home Care roll out Lilli’s home monitoring technology to better understand how people are managing at home. The technology will allow the home care providers to offer more holistic and personalised support, and give more peace of mind to loved ones. Lilli has helped thousands of people in the UK to live safely and independently at home, supporting to delay residential care and pick up signs of health decline early.

Lilli, the SaaS company using proactive home care technology to revolutionise the health and care sector, today announces it has partnered with Your Home Care and Meridian to help people live more safely and independently in Nottinghamshire. The domiciliary care providers will use Lilli to better understand how someone is managing at home and ensure they have the right care package in place, while providing peace of mind to families.

Lilli works by discreetly tracking patterns of behaviour and key indicators of health, such as movement, eating and bathroom activity, and alerting carers to any changes. The insights, powered by AI, allow professionals to quickly make accurate care assessments, and safely monitor people’s health at home remotely. It also enables them to be on the front foot to proactively spot signs of health decline and understand if a change in care package is required.

By having the unobtrusive technology in place, the domiciliary care providers will be able to offer a more tailored service to customers, including being able to support people at an early stage in their care journey when they have a lower level of care need. Lilli also helps providers give greater reassurance and peace of mind to families when carers are not in the property with a dedicated app, which provides insights to show that their loved one is safe and well. For instance, the app can highlight activities such as using their family member using the kettle, having the heating on, leaving the house or having an undisturbed night of sleep.

Tina Barlow, Scheme Senior at Meridian Health and Social Care, comments:

“We are delighted to be introducing Lilli to our extra care and community schemes. It will give us amazing insights into what happens in a service user’s home when care staff are not in attendance as well meaning that in turn, we can shape their care to their individual needs.”

Paul Pitchford, Co-Founder and Director of Your Home Care, adds:

“At Your Home Care, we have a passion for delivering ever better standards of home care throughout the community. We  know that the best way to achieve this is when a care provider is not only a caring, empathetic organisation but innovates and harnesses the benefits of technology and that’s what we are doing with Lilli.”

This announcement follows the recent news that Lilli will be working with more private care providers in addition to councils across the UK to help deliver a whole system impact. Evidence shows that when deployed in social care, Lilli is accelerating discharge from NHS beds by 16 days and reducing referrals to residential care by 40%, while helping organisations like Nottinghamshire County Council deal with the rising demand for care.

Nick Weston, Chief Commercial Officer at Lilli, comments:

“Our mission is to help people live more safe and independent lives and so we are thrilled to be expanding Lilli’s reach by partnering with outstanding businesses that provide care in the Midlands. In addition to the impact on the person receiving care, we are proud that our technology is well-proven to help their circles of support to have more reassurance and peace of mind that their loved one is safe and well, even when carers are not in the property.”
