Transforming Care:
Lilli’s Impact with Medway Council

Enhancing care efficiency and quality of life through proactive monitoring and data-driven insights.

The challenge

Medway Council faced challenges in maintaining high-quality care while managing costs and ensuring the independence of residents, particularly those with complex needs like learning disabilities.

Lilli's technology was implemented across several care pathways, including discharge to assess, long-term assessments and support for individuals with learning disabilities. The goal was to enhance care efficiency across the council and improve the quality of life for residents, all while achieving significant cost savings.

The impact of
data-driven care

Through Lilli’s data-driven approach, Medway Council achieved impressive results:

£30,000+
saved per week for Medway Council by optimising care packages.
£1.25M
forecast annual savings using Lilli’s system for 12 months.
-
Individuals stay independent at home for longer, delaying residential care needs.
-
Greater peace of mind for families with effective home monitoring.

Care stories
from Medway

Empowering Independence and Improving Quality of Life
Medway Council’s partnership with Kyndi and the use of Lilli’s technology has led to several success stories. For example, a young man with learning disabilities was thought to need waking night support after reports of him wandering at night. However, after reviewing his behaviours with Lilli, it was evident that all he needed was a later bedtime to avoid waking up at 3am. This adjustment, along with similar interventions, helped the council avoid the need for such extensive waking nights care, leading to overall savings of £40,000 while greatly enhancing the quality of life for many other similar individuals.

“The data compiled within the Lilli system has been invaluable in determining correct levels of care for our residents and their families. Medway Council needs to achieve significant savings in the year and using Lilli we are well on target to achieving this in addition to maintaining the quality of care provision in the area.”
